Where are they now? Argyle's Travis Tuttle

Travis Tuttle continues to hold Wisconsin state high school basketball scoring records, 20 years after he played his last game at tiny Argyle High School. I had a chance to catch up with the former sharpshooter to discuss his playing career and find out what the 38-year old is up to today.

WIAA football playoff predictions

BY:LANCE DAVIS

Time to put my state finals pairings on the record. Here we go!

D1-Arrowhead over Appleton East (Tough field but I like the Warhawks taking it all)

D2-Waunakee edges Monona Grove (Warriors make it a 3-peat)

D3-West De Pere downs Big Foot (Jump to D3 doesn't bother Chiefs until they run into WDP)

D4-Kewaunee defeats Somerset (Kewaunee's experience pays off)

D5-Kenosha St.Joseph's slips past Colby (St.Joe's too strong for undefeated Colby)

D6-Edgar runs past Eau Claire Regis (Blowout win for Edgar)

D7-Clayton takes down Burlington Catholic Central (Clayton strong passing attack brings home the title)

I don't want to hear it

By LANCE DAVIS

Francisco Rodriguez told CBSSports.com last night that he's not happy. Here's the quote that really bothers me. ''I'm not happy. That's the bottom line for me. They told me one thing; they haven't done it, and I stand by what I said." The timing is the thing that gets under my skin. The Brewers are closing in on the first division title in 29 years and then this. I don't want to hear it from the set-up man. My suggestion for K Rod is to keep those feelings private, especially with the Brewers having a chance for a special season. I don't want to hear from K Rod unless it's during the Brewers World Series victory celebration.

Well played Melvin

Doug Melvin is starting to look like a genius. I'm not talking about the Marcum and Greinke pick-ups last offseason. How about the additions of Nyjer Morgan, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Francisco Rodriguez. These three veterans have been fantastic with Morgan and Hairston Jr. being under the radar additions. Morgan's energy and Hairston's versatility have been outstanding for the first place Brewers. Well played Mr.Melvin!

Early season Big Ten Football predictions

Here's how I see the two divisions this season after hanging out in Chicago last Thursday during the Big Ten football media day.

I have Michigan State taking the Legends division with Nebraska a close second. Iowa has a favorable schedule and that's why I have the Hawkeyes in 3rd with Northwestern, Michigan and Minnesota to finish in the bottom half. I give the Spartans the edge in this division with an experienced quarterback returning, solid running backs and a couple of their big games at home.

I have Wisconsin taking the Leaders division title followed by Ohio State, Penn State, Illinois, Purdue and Indiana in that order. I like the Badgers despite having to play at Michigan State and Ohio State in back-to-back weeks at night. A potent rushing attack, dangerous quarterback and solid defense will lead Wisconsin. I think the winner of this division will finish with two losses.

Badgers and Spartans in the first Big Ten Football Championship game on December 3rd. Book it!

Check out our interviews with Bret Bielema, Nick Toon, Bo Pelini, Pat Fitzgerald and others from the Big Ten football media day right here. http://espnmadison.com/audiovault/badgers.php

Lockout prediction

I look for this whole mess to be settled by July 26th with free agency beginning July 28th. I think we're only going to have the Hall of Fame game cancelled. I still see all teams playing four exhibition games. NFL owners can't afford to lose those millions!
