MADISON – Sojourn Shelton, a three-star (Rivals) 5-foot-10, 150-pound defensive back from Plantation (FL), verbally committed to play football for Bret Bielema and the Badgers Tuesday evening.

He becomes the 15th member of the 2013 class and joins Keelon Brookins as the only other defensive back currently committed.

Shelton, originally committed to Florida State, held offers from Nebraska, Tennessee, South Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi and others before ultimately deciding to end his recruitment with a solid verbal commitment to the Badgers.

Shelton visited Madison for UW’s season-opening 26-21 win over Northern Iowa and fell in love with the campus and city. He made his announcement via Twitter.

“Committed To The University Of Wisconsin #OnWisconsin,” he said.
