GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers didn’t get their leader back Friday, but they got good news on almost everyone else.
While quarterback Aaron Rodgers was ruled out, meaning he’ll miss his sixth straight game with a fractured clavicle, running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) and inside linebackers Jamari Lattimore (knee) and Brad Jones (ankle) all returned to work after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday’s workouts.
“Eddie looked good. He took the allotted reps that we had set for him,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “It was good to get all of those guys back out there – Jamari, Brad – so we felt like we got healthy as the week went on.”
Here’s the full, official injury report from Friday:
Lacy sprained his ankle at the end of the first half of last Sunday’s victory over Atlanta. McCarthy said all week that while he would sit out Wednesday and Thursday, Lacy was expected to play.
“I felt good out there for the few plays I did,” Lacy said after practice. ‘I’m just trying to do what I can to get back on the field. I don’t like to miss practice. I don’t want to miss practice because I feel as though that gets me ready for the game. That’s just what the situation called for this week.”
Asked if he’ll have any limitations put on him, Lacy replied, “It depends on how I feel but if I’m good to go I’ll give it everything I have.”
