GREEN BAY – James Jones has a warning for Greg Jennings:
“This means war,” Jones said Wednesday.
The Green Bay Packers two wide receivers are engaged in a battle of one-upsmanship in good-natured automotive vandalism. After Jones decorated Jennings’ Nissan Armada last month and filled it with Styrofoam packaging peanuts for Jennings’ birthday, Jennings got his revenge on Monday on Jones’ Chevy Avalanche, removing its tires and filling it with streamers and Silly String.
“Greg said since my birthday is in the offseason (in March), he can never get me. So he said, since I always get him on his birthday every year, he decided to do it on my son’s birthday,” Jones explained Wednesday. Asked if his vehicle was back to normal, Jones laughed. The clean-up cost $60, he said.
“Everything’s back on, washed (the outside), got the inside cleaned out. I just took it to the PDQ (Car Wash). They did a good job,” he said. “I sat out there (in the Lambeau Field players parking lot) for about an hour waiting for them to put the tires back on.”
So what’s next?
“Greg’s daughter’s birthday is Dec. 1,” Jones said with a wicked laugh. “I’ve got some ideas. I’ve got some very good ideas.”
